Traditional Medicinal Plants Used in Dermatologic Disorders in Ardahan, Iğdır and Kars

Ethnobotany is briefly defined as a"human-plant relationship". Mankind has used plants a food source since ancient times, resorted to healing and accumulated their experiences. About 12.000 plant species grow in Turkey. The World Health Organization (WHO) determined the number of herbal medicines approximately 1900 it been that 20,000 are grown Turkey, 600 which for therapeutic purposes. This investigation was conducted document species, family, local names, usage types localities medicinal utilized by people living around Ardahan, Iğdır Kars provinces between 2020-2021 dermatologic disorders. To end, mankind aims were collected detected. visitations organised regions at regular intervals, survey investigations realized interviewing talking with one-on-one. 82 taxa belonging 31 families disorders from surroundings. Of these, 68 wild 14 cultivated plants. It reported most commonly Asteraceae (12), Scrophulariaceae (7), Boraginaceae (5), Fabaceae Salicaceae (5). As conclusion, despite deep-rooted history such regions, transmission use traditional knowledge have remained limited.
